REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1917.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council hereby make the within Regulation, under the Defence Act 1903-1917, to come into operation forthwith.

Regulations under the Defence act 1903-1917.
Amendment.
A.M. Regulation 202, sub-paragraph (1):—
Delete,
Warrant Officers (after 5 years’ service in that rank) —May be granted honorary rank of Lieutenant.
Warrant Officers (with less than 5 years’ service in that rank)—May be permitted to retain rank.
Staff Sergeants and Sergeants (after 5 years’ service in rank of Sergeant or Staff Sergeant)—May be granted honorary rank of Warrant Officer.
and substitute—
Warrant Officers, Class I., after five years’ service in that Class, may be granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant.
Warrant Officers, Class II., after five years’ service in that Class, may be grunted honorary rank of Warrant Officer, Class I.
Warrant Officers with less than five years’ service in Classes I. or II. may be permitted to retain their rank.
Staff Sergeants and Sergeants, after five years’ service in rank of Staff Sergeant or Sergeant, may be granted the honorary rank of Warrant Officer, Class II.
