EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
STATUTORY RULES 1982 NO. 282
AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENTS) ISSUED BY MINISTER FOR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
The two amendments proposed to the regulations are considered necessary to:
• remove the current restriction in the regulations which only allows a member to take one or more of the subjects in which the qualifying examinations are conducted 3 times; and
• provide protection for members of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) Promotion Appeals Board against civil or criminal actions or proceedings, where a member of the Board has acted in good faith in the performance of his duties as a member of the Board.
