His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified, for general information, that, under sections 64 and 65 of the Constitution and on the advice of the Prime Minister:

a)      He has revoked the appointments of:

 

         The Honourable Dr Andrew Leigh MP to administer the Department of the Treasury and to hold the office of Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer.

         The Honourable Patrick Gorman MP to administer the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and to hold the office of Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister.

         Senator the Honourable Anthony Chisholm to administer the Department of Education and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts and to hold the offices of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories.

 

b)      He has been pleased to make the following appointments to the Ministry:

 

         The Honourable Dr Andrew Leigh MP to administer the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, and to hold the offices of Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations.

o        Dr Leigh is to be known as Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury and Assistant Minister for Employment.

         The Honourable Patrick Gorman MP to administer the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and to hold the offices of Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Public Service.

o        Mr Gorman is to be known as Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Assistant Minister for the Public Service.

         Senator the Honourable Anthony Chisholm to administer the Department of Education and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts and to hold the offices of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.

o        Senator Chisholm is to be known as Assistant Minister for Education and Assistant Minister for Regional Development.
