REGULATIONS UNDER THE APPLE AND PEAR ORGANIZATION ACT 1938-1960.*

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Apple and Pear Organization Act 1938-1960.

APPLE AND PEAR ORGANIZATION (BANKING) REGULATIONS.

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Apple and Pear Organization (Banking) Regulations.

Repeal.

2. The Apple and Pear Organization (Banking) Regulations (being Statutory Rules 1949, No. 67) are repealed.

Signing of cheques.

3.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, a cheque drawn on an account referred to in sub-section (1.) of section 20 of the Apple and Pear Organization Act 1938-1960 shall be signed—

(a) by a member of the Australian Apple and Pear Board; and

(b) either by one other member of the Board or by the Secretary to the Board.

(2.) Where an account referred to in sub-section (1.) of section 20 of the Apple and Pear Organization Act 1938-1960 is opened and maintained in London, a cheque drawn on that account shall be signed—

(a) by the Overseas Representative in London of the Australian Apple and Pear Board; or

(b) by the Agricultural Representative in London of the Department of Primary Industry.
