Amendment of Statement of Principles

concerning

 

DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS

 

 

Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986

and

Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004

 

  1. The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(2) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, Instrument No. 5 of 2001, by:

 

  1. in clause 8, deleting the definition of “spinal cord injury”, and inserting in its place the following:

 

‘spinal cord injury’ means an injury to the long tracts of the spinal cord resulting in permanent motor or sensory deficits below the level of the lesion;”

 

 

2. The amendment made by this instrument applies to all matters to which Instrument No. 5 of 2001, section 120A of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and section 338 of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 apply.
