Amendment of Statement of Principles
concerning
DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS
Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986
and
Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004
- The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(2) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, Instrument No. 5 of 2001, by:
- in clause 8, deleting the definition of “spinal cord injury”, and inserting in its place the following:
“‘spinal cord injury’ means an injury to the long tracts of the spinal cord resulting in permanent motor or sensory deficits below the level of the lesion;”
2. The amendment made by this instrument applies to all matters to which Instrument No. 5 of 2001, section 120A of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and section 338 of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 apply.
