Administrative Arrangements Order

The Administrative Arrangements Order specifies the Departments of State, the principal matters they deal with and the legislation administered by each Minister of State. 

On 29 May 2019, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, revoked all administrative arrangements previously ordered and made a new Administrative Arrangements Order.

RENAMING OF A DEPARTMENT OF STATE

The Prime Minister gives notice that on 29 May 2019, the Governor-General in Council, acting on the Prime Minister’s recommendation under section 64 of the Constitution, changed the names of the Departments of State specified in Column 1 to the names specified in Column 2 opposite the first-mentioned name:
