Applicability: Serial number 1 to 9999.
Elevator Trim Tab 2/96
Requirement: Action in accordance with TBM SB 70-053-27 Amdt 2.
Note 1. DGAC AD 94-214(B)R1 refers to Amdt 1 of this Directive. Note 2. Additional work may be required by this issue.
Compliance: No later than the next inspection required in accordance with the previous issue of this Directive after 1 February 1996, or at the next inspection for Maintenance Release issue, whichever occurs first; thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service.
The effective dates of the previous issues of this Directive were 12 October 1994, and 2 February 1995.
Background: This Directive is raised to detect and rectify any excessive backlash (slack) in the elevator trim tab.
Amendment 1 was raised to reflect the correction of various anomalies in the text of the Requirement Document.
Amendment 2 is raised to give effect to the latest amendment of the Requirement Document which changes the SB effectivity range, and introduces revised torque values and part numbers.
