SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.


 

Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/TBM 700/32 Fuselage C6 and C8 Cross-Beam Bolts 10/2003

 

Applicability: Model TBM 700 aircraft, serial numbers 121 through 249, except serial numbers 160, 212, and 240.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with EADS Socata Service Bulletin TBM 700 No. 70-102.

 

Note: DGAC AD 2003-271(A) refers.

 

Compliance: During the next 600 hour inspection or next annual inspection after 2 October 2003, whichever occurs first.

 

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 2 October 2003.

 

Background: The manufacturer received a report of a loose fuselage cross beam bolt. Investigation revealed the bolt had insufficient torque applied in production.
