SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/TBM 700/27 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: Model TBM 700 aircraft, serial numbers 1 through 184, 186, 187, 189 through 204,

206, and 207.

 

Requirement: Inspect in accordance with EADS Socata Service Bulletin No. SB-70-095 Revision 1, dated April 2003.

 

Note: DGAC AD 2001-582(A) R1 refers.

 

Compliance: Before further flight after 16 July 2003. Apply, if necessary, new settings specified in the Requirement document. Thereafter, inspect in accordance with the Requirement document after any maintenance on affected flight controls.

 

This Amendment becomes effective on 16 July 2003.

 

Background: During a flight control pre-flight check, the control wheel jammed in full nose up and full left wing down position after having exceeded the aileron control stop.

 

Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related DGAC AD and Requirement document, which clarify applicability and introduce new flight control settings.

 

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 8 December 2001.
