Amdt 1
Wing to Fuselage Front Attachments 10/95
Applicability: Socata TB9 aircraft S/N 1 to 9999, TB10 aircraft S/N 1 to 803, 805, 806, 809 to 815,
820 to 822.
Requirement: 1. Fluorescent dye penetrant inspect, per CAO 108.10, the wing front attachment fittings, on both the wing and fuselage sides.
Inspect in accordance with Socata Service Bulletin (SB) 10-081.57 Accomplishment Instructions.
2. Modify the wing front attachment fitting, wing side, on TB9 and TB10 aircraft by installing kit OPT10 911000.
3. Modify the wing front attachment fitting, fuselage side, on TB9 aircraft, S/N 1 to 399 and 413, and TB10 aircraft, S/N 1 to 399 and 413, by installing kit OPT10 919800.
4. Modify the wing front attachment fitting, fuselage side, on TB9 aircraft, S/N 400 to 412 and 414 to 9999, and TB10 aircraft, S/N 400 to 412, 414 to 803, 805, 806, 809 to 815 and 820 to 822, by installing kit OPT10 908100.
Note: DGAC AD 94-264(A) and Socata SB 10-081.57 refer.
Compliance: 1. Inspect, in accordance with Requirement 1, before 3000 flights or 2000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
Aircraft which, on 27 April 1995, have accumulated more than 2900 flights or 1900 hours time in service shall be inspected within 100 hours time in service after 27 April 1995 or before 31 October 1995, whichever occurs first.
Re-inspect at intervals not to exceed 3000 flights or 2000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
2. Modify, in accordance with Requirement 2, before 12000 flights or 8000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
Replace the modification at intervals not to exceed 6000 flights or 4000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
3. Modify, in accordance with Requirement 3, before 6000 flights or 4000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first. For aircraft which have been modified in accordance with Socata Technical Instruction Nr 9081, modify before 12000 flights or 8000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
Replace the modification at intervals not to exceed 12000 flights or 8000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.

Note: Socata Technical Instruction Nr 9081 is identical to kit OPT10 908100. Modification to aircraft in this serial number range, according to Technical Instruction Nr 9081, was directed under Requirement 3 of AD/TB10/1, Amdt 2 or earlier.
4. Modify, in accordance with Requirement 4, before 12000 flights or 8000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
Replace the modification at intervals not to exceed 12000 flights or 8000 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
The technical requirements of the original AD remain unchanged. This amendment is effective from 14 September 1995.
Background: Modification and replacement of components in the wing to fuselage attachment structure is necessary to ensure the continued structural integrity of the joint. Repair of cracked structure is achieved by installing the appropriate modification.
Amendment 1 is made to allow for aircraft which have previously been modified according to the requirements of AD/TB10/1 Amdt 2 or earlier. The applicable kit for early production aircraft, which do not have a wing rear attachment, has been re- designated as OPT10 919800. There is, at present, no technical difference between this kit and kit OPT10 908100, applicable to later production aircraft.
