Prohibition of Flight into Known Icing Conditions - Placard

Applicability: Models SA227-AC, SA227-AT, SA227-TT, not modified in accordance with SA227 Service Bulletin A61-002 or Service Bulletin 30-001.

 

Requirement: Install a placard, minimum 1/4" lettering on the instrument panel in plain view of the pilot stating “Flight into known icing conditions prohibited”.

 

Compliance: Forthwith.

 

Background: Overseas operational experience indicates that propeller de-icing is not adequate.
