Supplementary Equipment

 

AD/SUPP/6 Air Equipment Hoists 5/85

Applicability: All Air Equipment Hoists P/Nos. 76375, 76375-02, and 76375-100, with S/Nos. 19,

63 through 70, 72, 73, 75, 76, 78 through 100, 108 and 109.

 

Requirement: Modify the hoist cable by painting limit marks in accordance with the requirements contained in Aerospatiale Telex 807 and 848 (AHC No. 046).

 

Note: Flight Manual changes will also be necessary. Operators should contact their nearest Airworthiness Office for Flight Manual amendments.

 

Compliance: Prior to further use of an affected hoist.

 

Background:  Breakage of a travel limit control screw due to a dimensional error could cause a failure of the up and down slow down function of the hoist.
