SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

 

Iniziative Industriali Italiane Sky Arrow 650 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/SKY ARROW/1 Nose Gear Support Bulkhead 2/2003

DM

 

Applicability: Model 650TC aircraft, serial numbers C001 through C004, C006 through 0008, and C011.

Model 650TCN aircraft, serial numbers CN001 through CN006, and CN008. Model 650TCNS aircraft, serial numbers CNS010, CNS011, and CNS016

Requirement: Inspect and modify in accordance with Iniziative Industriali Italiane Service Bulletin No. SB-C 02/02, dated 15 October 2002.

 

Note: ENAC AD 2002-591 refers.

Compliance: Inspect within 10 hours time in service after 18 December 2002, unless already accomplished.

If cracks are detected, accomplish the modification before further flight.

 

Modify at the next scheduled 100 hour maintenance inspection after 18 December 2002, or at the latest, before 30 June 2003.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 18 December 2002.

 

Background:  The manufacturer received reports of crack initiation on the nose gear support bulkhead (STA 600) of aircraft with high operating time on grass airfields and training school aircraft affected by hard landings.
