SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/SEATS/24 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

RECARO Passenger Seat Type 3410 - Seat Belt Attachment

Applicability: RECARO Aircomfort Passenger Seat Type 3410, Part Number Series 302, 303, 306,
307, 314, 316, 317, 791, 792, and 795; with serial numbers listed in RECARO Aircraft Seating Service Bulletin (SB) 3410-25MR477 Revision 3, dated 17 May 2004, or a later LBA approved revision.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of RECARO Aircraft Seating SB 3410-25MR477 Revision 3, or a later LBA approved revision.
Note: LBA AD D-2004-151 R1 refers.
Compliance: Within 60 calendar days after 30 September 2004.
This Amendment becomes effective on 30 September 2004.
Background: A report was received of detached connecting bolts of a seat belt attachment fitting at the outboard seat spreader on a RECARO Type 3410 seat. This Directive requires incorporation of longer bolts to ensure adequate engagement with the locknuts.
Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related LBA AD, which introduces the latest revision of the Requirement document which changes seat serial number applicability.
The original issue of this Directive became effective on 10 June 2004.
