Short SD3-30 Series Aeroplanes
AD/SD3-30/34 Autofeather System Wiring 1/99
Applicability: All SD3-30 aircraft that have incorporated Shorts Service Bulletin (SB) SD330-30-30 Original Issue dated June 1988.
Requirement: 1. Rewire the aeroplane in accordance with Shorts SB SD330-30-30 Revision 1 dated September 1997.
Note: CAA(UK) AD 003-06-98 and Shorts Mandatory Service Bulletin SD330-30-33 dated June 1998 refers.
Compliance: 1. Before 31 March 1999.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 28 January 1999.
Background: Incorporation of Shorts SB SD330-30-30 Original Issue resulted in wiring changes that inhibited the operation of the autofeather system. Rewiring in accordance with Revision 1 of the service bulletin restores autofeather system operation.
