Eurocopter AS 332 (Super Puma) Series Helicopters

Amdt 1

Applicability: All models.


Tail Rotor Pitch Change Spiders 7/96

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Eurocopter SB AS332 No. 01.00.43 Rev 1.

 

Note: DGAC AD 95-262-056(B)R1 refers.

 

Compliance: For Requirement Document:

 

Paragraph 1.C.1) - At each Daily Inspection after the effective date of this Directive, and

 

Paragraph 2.B. - no later than the next 250 hour inspection of the Tail Rotor Hub after the effective date of this Directive.

 

Where compliance with Paragraph 2.B. was complied with in accordance with the initial issue of this Directive, re-inspect the shim thickness in accordance with the CAUTION at paragraph 1.D. within 50 hours time in service after the effective date of this amendment.

 

The effective date of the initial issue of this Directive was 13 March 1996. This Amendment has effect from 20 June 1996.

 

Background: This Directive is issued to prevent failure of the pitch change spider.

 

Amendment 1 requires a further inspection of shim thickness to preclude interference between the pitch control rod and the cover.
