SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Robin Aviation Series Aeroplanes
AD/ROBIN/36 Air Intake By-pass Flap 11/2001
Applicability: All Robin Aviation aircraft, all serial numbers, other than models DR 400-200R, DR 400-500 and R2160i aircraft.
Requirement: Inspect the engine air intake by-pass flap as required in Robin Aviation Service Bulletin Number 174.
The pilot in command, other than a student pilot, may carry out the initial engine air intake inspection. Compliance is recorded by entering in the Aircraft Log Book; “AD/ROBIN/36 carried out”. Any discrepancy disclosed in carrying out the inspection shall be recorded in the “Maintenance required” column of the aircraft maintenance release or equivalent document.

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, within 10 hours time in service from the effective date of this Directive and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 110 hours time in service.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 1 November 2001.
Background: This Directive has been issued to require the inspection of the air intake by-pass flap.
The requirement follows reports of the flap sealing felt coming adrift.
