AD/REC/2  Fairchild Cockpit Voice Recorder - Inspection and Modification

Applicability: Fairchild Industrial Products Cockpit Voice Recorder Model A100 Series, having Serial Numbers 4733 to 5260 inclusive.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of Fairchild Industrial Products Alert Service Bulletin No CVR A140.

 

Note: FAA Airworthiness Directive 81-04-06 Amendment 39-4039 refers.

 

Compliance: This Directive becomes effective on 4 February 1993.

 

Note: This Directive was previously issued as CAO 107 AD/RAD/41 with an effective date of 30 November 1981, prior compliance with that Directive is considered compliance with this Directive.

 

Background: Thermal insulation assembly PN 9300-A18 was omitted inadvertently from recorders within the serial number range quoted.
