SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Pilatus PC-12 Series Aeroplanes
AD/PC-12/32 Nose Landing Gear Drag Link 8/2002

Applicability: All PC-12 and PC-12/45 aircraft with nose landing gear drag link right hand with part number 532.20.12.140, installed.
Requirement: Replace the nose landing gear (NLG) drag link right hand part number 532.20.12.140 in accordance with the latest PC-12 Maintenance Manual instructions.
Note 1: Replacement of the NLG drag link right hand part number 532.20.12.140 with NLG drag link part number 532.20.12.289 in accordance with Pilatus PC-12 Service Bulletin No. 32-014, constitutes terminating action for the repetitive replacement required by this Directive.
Note 2: Switzerland FOCA AD HB 2002-271 refers.
Compliance: 1. For NLG drag links that have accumulated 3,800 or less total landings, replace before 4,000 total landings.
2. For NLG drag links that have accumulated 3,801 or more total landings, replace within 200 landings after 3 July 2002.
Replace thereafter at intervals not to exceed 4,000 landings. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 3 July 2002.
Background: Reports were received by FOCA of uncommanded extension of the nose landing gear during cruise flight. Investigation revealed certain nose landing gear drag links had failed due to fatigue cracking. Complete failure of these drag links could result in gear collapse during landing.
