Parachute Equipment
AD/PARA/3 PA Safety Systems Pigmee 3/93
Applicability: All Pigmee S007; 007(A), (B), (C) and (D) parachutes that incorporate the single operation system to activate the reserve.
Requirement: Action in accordance with PA Safety Systems Product Recall titled “Pigmee Red Handle (reserve ripcord) Proof Test and dated 16 November 1992.
Compliance: Prior to further use after 4 March 1993.
Background: During a periodic inspection a Red Handle ripcord was found to be in poor condition.
When tested the handle failed at ten percent of the required load.
