Applicability: All model PA46-310P with S/Nos 46-8408001 to 46-8508005, 46-8508007 to 46-
8508074.
Requirement: In accordance with Piper SB No 809. Compliance: Part 1 of the Requirement Document:
Within 25 hours time in service after 31 July 1985. Part 2 of the Requirement Document:
Before further flight as required by Part 1 of the Requirement Document should cracks be found, otherwise, within 100 hours time in service after compliance with Part 1 of the Requirement Document.
Background: The manufacturer advises that problems continue to occur with Steering/rotator Horn Damage, therefore AD/PA-46/5 is now cancelled following the issue of SB No 809 which supersedes SB 793.
