Applicability: Model PA-46-310P Malibu with serial numbers 46-8408001 through 46-8608067, and 4608008 through 4608140.
Model PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage with serial numbers 4622001 through 4622131.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Piper Mandatory Service Bulletin 796B. Compliance: Unless already accomplished in accordance with the previous issue of the
Requirement Document, within 100 hours time in service after 30 March 1995.
Background: Reports were received of loose and working rivets along the lower spar cap outboard of the main landing gear door hinge. Amendment 1 expanded the serial number range and introduced a modification kit. Amendment 2 is issued in response to a revision of the Requirement Document which expands the serial number range and introduces a modification kit for the added serial number aircraft.
