Applicability: All models PA-46-310P with S/No’s 46-8408001 to 46-8408044, 46-8408046, 46-
8408048.
Requirement: Piper Service Bulletin No 783.
Compliance: Part 1 prior to further flight after 5 September 1984 and thereafter as per the Requirement Document.
Background: During production flight test, interference occurred between the horizontal stabiliser bottom trailing edge and the elevator, binding the elevator in a trailing edge-up configuration, restricting down elevator travel.
