AD/PA 42/19 Main Landing Gear Upper Strut and Oleo Tube Plug

Applicability: Model PA-42-1000 Cheyenne 400/400LS S/Nos 42-5527001 and up, fitted with main landing gear upper strut housings which have exceeded 450 hours time in service.

 

Requirement:   1. Action in accordance with Piper Mandatory SB No 912.

 

2. Action in accordance with Piper Mandatory SB No 929.

 

Note: New replacement housings require action only upon accumulating 450 hours time in service.

 

Compliance:   Requirement 1.  Unless previously accomplished, prior to exceeding 100 hours time

in service after 22 March 1990 or at the next scheduled inspection for issue of Maintenance Release after 22 March 1990, whichever occurs later.

 

Requirement 2. Prior to exceeding 100 hours time in service after 22 March 1990, or at the next scheduled inspection for issue of Maintenance Release after 22 March 1990, whichever occurs later, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service.
