AD/PA-42/16 Control Column Control Chain Retainer Clips 8/88
Applicability: PA42-720R, PA42-720 and PA42-1000 with Serial Numbers listed in the Requirement Document.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Piper SB 877.
Compliance: Prior to the next inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 11 August 1988.
Background: It has been determined that some retainer clips may be improperly installed. Loss of the retainer clip may cause control run disconnection and loss of aileron control.
