AD/PA-34/21 Rudder Cable Installation Rear Fuselage - Inspection

Applicability: All model PA34-200T with S/Nos. 7570001 to 7770153, 770155 to 7770160,

7770163, 7770166, 7770168, 7770170 to 7770177.

Requirement: 1. Gain access to aft rudder cable pulleys either through the ELT access panel or aft cabin bulkhead.

 

2.    With the aid of a torch and/or inspection mirror determine if the rudder cable guard pin is in the 12 o’clock or 3 o’clock position relative to the centre of the pulley, when viewed from the ELT access hole.

 

3.    If the pin is in the 12 o’clock position no further action is required.

 

4.    If the pin is in the 3 o’clock position, inspect cable for evidence of fraying, replace cable if fraying evident.

 

5.    Relocate and install cable guard pin in holes at the 12 o’clock position. Compliance:              Prior to further flight after 9 March, 1977.
