Main Undercarriage Vee Assemblies - Inspection 11/67
Applicability: Model PA-25 and variants of that model.
Requirement: 1. Make a close inspection of the main undercarriage vee assembly P/N 61024-00 and 61024-01 for cracks in the tubular members in the vicinity of the welds at the shock unit attachment lugs.
2. The inspection shall be carried out with the aid of at least a 6X magnifying lens. Suspect cracks are to be confirmed by dye penetrant inspection.
3. Defective parts shall be repaired in accordance with an approved repair scheme before further flight.
Compliance: At intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service after 1 September 1971.
