AD/PA-25/14 Fire Protection - Modification - Relocation

of Primer Line

Applicability: Model PA-25-235 and variants of that model.

Requirement: All Piper PA-25-235 aircraft fitted with the standard cockpit heating installation are to be modified by re-routing the fuel primer line from fuel filter to primer pump, P/N 64179-04, to divert this line from the area immediately behind the engine exhaust heat exchange (muffler). Figure 1 illustrates an acceptable means of compliance.

Alternatively, or in addition, replace the existing copper line by a steel line.
