Amdt 1


Alternator Field Fuse - Installation 4/79

 

Applicability: Model PA-23-250 with S/Nos. 27-2505 and subsequent fitted with a voltage regulator selector switch.

 

Requirement: 1. In aircraft S/No. 27-2505 to 27-3836 and 27-3838 to 27-3943, install a 3 amp fuse in each field circuit between the “F” field terminal on the alternator and the alternator main circuit breaker. (i.e. Cable PF5 and in cable PF 11).

 

2.     In aircraft S/Nos. 27-3837 and 27-3944 and subsequent, install a 3 amp fuse in each field circuit between the “F” field terminal on the alternator and the voltage regulator selector switch (i.e. cable PF17A and in cable PF18A).

 

Note: It is not necessary for these fuses to be accessible in flight.

 

3.     Functionally check the alternator system and the adjustment of the voltage regulators as per the manufacturer’s service manual.
