SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AD/P68/50 Flight Control  6/2002 DM

 

Applicability:  All Model P68 Observer 2 aircraft, with serial numbers 401 through 413, and Model P68C aircraft serial number 402.

 

All Model P68 aircraft, up to and including serial number 413.

 

Requirement: Inspect in accordance with VulcanAir Service Bulletin No. 111 Revision 1.

 

Note: ENAC AD 2002-155 refers.

 

Compliance: For Part A of Requirement document: Before further flight after 17 April 2002.

 

For Part B of Requirement document: Within 15 days or at the next 50 hour inspection after 17 April 2002, whichever occurs first.

 

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 17 April 2002.

 

Background: The manufacturer received reports of instances of an incorrectly installed forward stabilator connecting rod/control column bolt, and missing nut. In addition, interference was found between the forward control lever assembly and the structure.
