Pre-Certification Requirements 10/85
Applicability: All model P68B.
Requirement: Modify the aircraft in accordance with the requirements of ANO 101.22 in respect of the following:
- Install a 3 amp fuse in each field circuit between the “I” field terminal on the alternator and the junction point of the cable from the voltage regulator selector switch.
2. Remove the external power system from the aeroplane or provide a means to ensure that an external power supply with reversed polarity cannot be connected to the electrical system of the aeroplanes.
3. Provide a clearly identified external earthing point for the attachment of ground connections in a conspicuous position, preferably on each main undercarriage assembly or on the nose gear.
4. Install 50 amp circuit breakers (B1, B2 and B3) in the alternator and battery main cables.
5. Correct and calibrate the magnetic direction indicator and install a deviation card in accordance with ANO Section 108.6.
6. (a) Identify the circuit and rating of all fuses.
(b) Provide adequately stowed spare fuses of the correct size and rating for each fuse which is capable of being replaced in flight. The number of spare fuses shall not be less than 20 per cent of the number of each rating.
7. Modify the cockpit placard adjacent to the static source selector to show the correct position of the selector for the alternate static source.
8. Modify the limiting speed placard to show speeds in knots IAS instead of knots CAS.
9. Delete the placard located between the fuel selectors relating to fuel cross feed.
10. Modify the marking of the fuel selectors in accordance with Partenavia SB No. 14, Rev 1. Applicable up to S/Nos 122 inclusive.
11. Install fireproof sealing for the gaps existing between the side and rear members of the engine bay firewalls to a scheme approved by the Secretary.
12. Inspect and replace as necessary all flexible hose assemblies carrying flammable fluids in the engine compartment with hose assemblies meeting the fire resistance standards of FAA TSO C53B Type C or D or render them fire resistant to that standard by fitting an approved fire sleeve.

13. Install a placard in the cabin specifying the periods during which smoking is prohibited.
Compliance: Item 1 - Within 100 hours time in service after 30 June 1976.
Items 2 to 13 - Before 30 September 1975.
Note: Re-certification is required against the amended Item 1 only.
Background: This directive has been amended to reflect the latest revision to Partenavia SB NO. 14 which is the subject of item 10 of the requirements. The applicability of the original Service Bulletin included all P68 and P68B aircraft. This was incorrect as aircraft from serial number 123 and up are fitted with three way fuel selectors and not four.
