Requirement: 1. Mask regulators with serial numbers 23007 to 40094 inclusive - action in accordance with Paragraph 2 of EROS Service Bulletin MF10-35-47 Revision 1 dated 5 June 1992.

2. Mask regulators with serial numbers 40095 to 42855 inclusive - action in accordance with Paragraph 3 of EROS service Bulletin MF10-35-47 Revision 1 dated 5 June 1992.

Note: DGAC AD 92-085(AB)R2 dated 5 August 1992 refers.

Compliance: Requirement 1 - prior to 30 November 1992.

Requirement 2 - at the next workshop inspection.

Background:  Possible incorrect installation of the headset lead can cause the headset lead clamp to come in contact with the N-100% oxygen regulator valve, resulting in the valve leaking when in the 100% position. The initial issue of this Directive required an inspection and if necessary, the relocation or replacement of the clamp to prevent contact with valve.

This amendment increases the serial number range of affected mask regulators, requires that mask regulators already inspected be identified with the letter 'A' in lieu of a 'red dot' and correctly identifies the item as a mask regulator.
