AD/MU-2/58 Wing Tip Tank Attachment 8/96
Applicability: Model MU-2B-10, -15, -20, -25, -26, with serial numbers 008 through 347 (except
313, 321).
Model MU-2B-30, -35, -36, with serial numbers 501 through 696 (except 652, 661).
Requirement: Inspect the wing tip tank fitting attachment bolts in accordance with Mitsubishi Heavy Industry MU-2 Service Bulletin 225.
Note: JCAB TCD-4310-96 refers.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 18 July 1996.
Background: Incorrect wing tip attachment bolts have been found corroded. Failure of corroded bolts could result in the separation of the wing tip tank from the aircraft.
