AD/MU-2/33 Rudder and Elevator Trim Idler Installation - Modification

Applicability: All models MU-2B-40 with S/Nos. 420SA, 430SA to 435SA.

MU-2B-60 with S/Nos. 748SA, 758SA, 779SA to 798SA, except 789SA.

Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 31 July 1984 or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 30 June 1984 whichever is the later.

Background: Rudder and elevator trim systems pulley malfunctions and chain misalignment problems have been experienced. Failure to incorporate the intent of the requirement documents may result in binding of the trim chains leading to ineffective trim, yaw damper and autopilot operation.
