Corrosion - Inspection 9/84

Applicability: All model Rallye MS.880B, MS892 and derivatives.

Requirement: 1. Inspect areas detailed in Aerospatiale Service Bulletin No. 133/2 Column A.

2. Should the inspections detailed at Para 1 evidence appreciable spots of corrosion extend inspections to include Column B.

Note: Bureau Veritas AD 82-89(A) refers.

Compliance: Initial inspection within 50 hours time in service after 27 September 1982, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service or 4 months, whichever occurs first.

Background:  To ensure the integrity of main structures the manufacturer has detailed specific areas subject to repetitive inspection and treatment. AMDT 1 of this Directive clarifies the inspection requirement and uses the findings of the lesser inspection to determine the need for additional inspection areas.
