Mooney M20 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/M20/47 Rudder Static Balance 6/92 TX

Applicability: Model M20J with S/Nos. 24-3201, 24-3218 to 24-3238, 24-3240 to 24-3250 and 24-

3252 to 24-3256.

 

Requirement: 1. Fabricate and install in clear view of the pilot a placard stating “MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT REDUCED TO 1243 kg (2740 lb)”.

 

2. Inspect the aircraft to ensure that the rudder static balance is within the required limits in accordance with paras. 1 to 3 of the instructions section of Mooney Aircraft Corporation Service Bulletin M20-252 dated 6 April 1992. After inspection and rectification as necessary, remove placard.

 

Note: FAA Telegraphic AD 92-08-15 refers.

 

Compliance: 1. Before further flight after 15 April 1992.

 

2. Within 15 hours time in service after 15 April 1992.
