British Aerospace BAe 3100 (Jetstream) Series Aeroplanes
AD/JETSTREAM/52 Escape Hatch Shear Fitting 3/92
Applicability: Models and Constructor’s numbers identified in accordance with the following Accomplishment Instruction Parts of BAe Service Bulletin 52-JM 7752:
Part A - Jetstream Series 3100 aircraft constructors number 757, and aircraft with constructors numbers in the range 770 to 839 inclusive.
Jetstream Series 3200 aircraft with constructors numbers in the range 790 to 910 inclusive and 912.
Part B - Jetstream Series 3200 aircraft with constructors numbers in the range 790 to 910 inclusive and 912.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Mandatory British Aerospace SB 52-JM 7752. Compliance: At the next scheduled 600 hour maintenance check after 6 March 1992 or by 6 July
1992; whichever occurs first.
Background: During a scheduled inspection on an in-service aircraft, an escape hatch could not be removed without damaging the ceiling trim, due to interference between the shear fitting on the hatch and a furnishing ceiling panel. This interference can prevent removal of the escape hatch in an emergency. The compliance date required by the UK CAA is extended by two months.
