Oil Pressure and Torque Pressure Firewall Fitting Checks

Requirement: Action in accordance with McDonnell Douglas SIN No. HN-209, DN-149, EN-37 and FN-26.

 

Compliance: 1. Unless already accomplished, within 100 hours time in service after 31 December 1987; and

 

2.    Any time the P/N 369A8010 oil lines and related firewall fittings are removed and reinstalled or replaced; and

 

3.    Any time there are indications of oil leaks around the P/N 369A8010 oil lines at the firewall fittings.

 

Background: Incorrectly swaged oil pressure and torque pressure tube assemblies have been found attached to the firewall fittings. These tubes can pull out of the fitting causing loss of engine oil.
