Retirement Life - Fatigue Critical Components 7/95

 

Applicability: All models.

 

Requirement: As applicable to each helicopter model, all components listed in the following references shall be retired at or before the times quoted therein.

 

  1. For 369H, 369HE, 369HM and 369HS series: Hughes 369H Series Basic Handbook of Maintenance Instructions Appendix “B” (CSP-H-4), Reissued 17 March 1992, Revision 3, Section 2.

 

2.    For 369D, 369E, 369FF and 500N series: Hughes 369D, 369E 369FF and 500N series Basic Handbook of Maintenance Instructions (CSP-HMI-2) issued October 31 1990, Revision 11, Chapter 4.

 

Note: Operators of aircraft engaged in unusual manoeuvres, such as agricultural, cattle mustering or operations where more than four rotor full stops per hour are achieved must consult the manufacturer giving full details including previous history of all operations for possible life revision and must advise the Authority accordingly. For the purposes of notification, two flights concluding with the rotor turning at idle or greater power setting shall be counted as equivalent to one flight with rotors to a full stop.

 

Compliance: This Amendment is effective 22 June 1995.
