Main Rotor Blade Elastometric Dampers 8/87
Applicability: All 269 Series Helicopters fitted with P/No. 269A1290-1 elastomeric dampers. Requirement: Action in accordance with Schweizer S.I.N. No. N-201-1.
Compliance: Part I of Requirement Document:
within 300 hours time in service after 31 December 1986.
Part II of Requirement Document:
any time adjustment of the elastomeric damper is carried out.
Background: Moisture and contaminants have seeped into some elastomeric damper assemblies, causing bun separation and corrosion. This Directive has been amended to include the latest Requirement Document which has been amended to change the type of sealant.
