AD/GENERAL/42 Microphone/Compass Safe Distance - Modification

Applicability: All aircraft in which microphone stowage does not provide at least 38 cm or 15 inches separation between stowed microphones and any direct reading magnetic compass.

 

Requirement: Relocate microphone stowage or the direct reading magnetic compass to provide at least 38 cm or 15 inches separation between stowed microphones and any direct reading magnetic compass.

 

Note: Where alterations are made which may affect compass calibration care should be taken to observe the requirements of Air Navigation Order Section 108.6.
