Amdt 1

Trim Tab Hinge 6/91

Applicability: Nomad series aircraft with S/Nos N22S-159 to N22S-165 inclusive, incorporating Mod N663.

Requirement: Action in accordance with ASTA Nomad Alert SB ANMD-55-25 Parts 1 and 2.

Compliance: For Part 1. In accordance with initial issue of this Directive: Prior to exceeding 10 hours time in service after 6 June 1990.

For Part 2. In accordance with initial issue of this Directive: Prior to exceeding 200 hours time in service after 6 June 1990.

The effective date of this amendment is 13 June 1991.

Background:  A condition may exist where the trim tab position of the horizontal stabilizers is incorrect, leading to a possibility of binding and overstress of the trim tab linkage with the stabilizer and trim setting at certain positions.

This Amendment is raised to introduce a Revision of the Requirement document, which issues the accomplishment instructions for Part 2; replacement of the trim tab hinge.
