GULFSTREAM (GRUMMAN) G.159 SERIES AEROPLANES

 

AD/G159/13 Amdt 3 Trim Tab Actuators 10/9 7

Applicability: All models not fitted with trim tab actuators Part Number 159SCC100-11.

 

Requirement: 1. Action in accordance with Gulfstream (Grumman) Customer Bulletin 208A as amended by Amendments 1 and 2.

 

2. Install trim tab actuator 159SCC100-11 in accordance with Gulfstream Aircraft Service Change 191.

 

Note: FAA AD 97-14-09 refers

 

Compliance: 1. Within 200 hours time in service after the last inspection carried out in accordance with the previous issue of this Directive, or before 30 September 1997, whichever occurs last; thereafter at intervals not exceeding 200 hours time in service.

 

2. Within 1000 hours time in service after 11 September 1997.

 

This airworthiness directive becomes effective on 11 September 1997.

 

Background: This directive was originally issued with subsequent amendment to prevent failure of the of the elevator trim tab mounting lugs due to cracking.
