Compartment Fire Extinguishers

Applicability: All First Technology and Safety spherical type toilet compartment fire extinguishers Halon 1211 and 1301 with serial numbers 7967 to 10356 inclusive.
Requirement: Remove applicable fire extinguishers from aircraft, check and replace if necessary in accordance with First Technology Fire and Safety Service Bulletin 26-110.

Compliance: Before 23 July 1998.
This airworthiness directive becomes effective on 23 April 1998.
Background: At Serial Number 7967 a manufacturing change resulted in a leakage problem at the eutectic tip.
