Fokker F28 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/F28/56 Instrument Panel Lights Ballast Transformers 9/88

Applicability: All models S/No’s 11003 to 11231 inclusive, 11991 and 11992.

 

Requirement: Relocate instrument panel light ballast transformers in accordance with Fokker Service Bulletin F28/33-34 dated 1 June 1988 or later.

 

Note: RLD AD 88-31 also refer.

 

Compliance: Prior to 8 March 1989.

 

Background:  The instrument panel lighting ballast transformers are prone to overheating and subsequent failure with the emission of smoke in front of the pilots.
