Fokker F28 Series Aeroplanes
AD/F28/53 Cargo Door Hinges 8/87 TX
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: 1. Remove forward, centre and aft cargo door hinges.
2. Remove hinge wire and disassemble hinge.
3. Inspect hinge lugs for corrosion and cracking.
Compliance: Unless accomplished within the pat six months within 50 hours time in service after 9 June 1987.
Background: The Department has received reports of intergranular corrosion and cracking of the cargo door hinges. In one case nearly half of the lugs were cracked.
