Amdt 1


Main Undercarriage Drag Stay - Inspection 6/82

 

Applicability: All models F27 Mks, 100, 200, 300, 400, 600 and 700 with main undercarriage drag

stay type Nos. 200275001, 200485001, 09057YA01, 200261001 and F27 Mk. 500

with drag stay type 20022401 not marked with UT or V on the unit data plate.

 

Document: Dowty Rotol SB No. 32-114B and 32-42S.

 

Compliance: 1. For drag stays which have achieved 20,000 landings or more, before 1 August 1982, unless previously accomplished.

 

2. For drag stays which have achieved 10,000 landings but less than 20,000 landings, before 1 November 1982, unless previously accomplished.

 

Background: The inner bores of some drag stays have been found to have surface break-up generated during the tube drawing process. Amdt. 1 of this Directive is issued to include Mk. 500 aircraft.
