Fokker F100 (F28 Mk 100) Series Aeroplanes
AD/F100/14 Small Cargo Door Hinge Assembly 4/99
Applicability: F.28 Mk.0100, serial numbers 11244 through 11408, if equipped with small cargo door hinges Part Number (P/N) A28410-405 or A28410-407.
Requirement: 1. Inspect the fuselage mounted half of P/N A28410-405 or A28410-407 cargo door hinge assemblies in accordance with Section 2, Accomplishment Instructions of Fokker Service Bulletin (SB) F100-52-055 dated 20 July 1994.
2. Replace P/N A28410-405 and -407 with a new hinge assembly P/N D28410-409, in accordance with Fokker SB F100-52-043. Report all findings to the manufacturer.

Compliance: 1. Inspect in accordance with Requirement 1 at intervals not exceeding 6 starting from the date of issue of this Directive.
2. Replace before further flight, if cracks are found during any inspection, except as provided in section 2. Accomplishment Instructions, Part C, NOTE of Fokker SB F100-52-055.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 22 April 1999.
Background: Service experience of early F.28 series aircraft has shown that the cargo door hinges are sensitive to stress corrosion cracking. The first issue of the BLA required a one- time inspection of the affected cargo door hinges.
