Amdt 1


Engine Cowl Door Retention and Pressure Relief 4/90

 

Applicability: Model 100 series S/No. 1 to 156 and 158 to 199. Model 300 series S/No. 124.

 

Requirement: Modify both engine, engine cowlings in accordance with DHC S.B. No. 8-71-13 Rev C.

 

Note: Canadian AD CF-89-15 refers.

 

Compliance: Prior to 30 November 1990.

 

Background: There have been instances of loss of engine cowl doors during engine fires. That door loss has rendered the fire extinguishing system ineffective.
