De Havilland DHC-1 (Chipmunk) Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/DHC-1/36 Flap Operating Cables 6/95 DM

Applicability: British Aerospace C1 (English production) aircraft.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with British Aerospace TNS CT(C1) No.184 Issue 2.

 

Note: UK CAA AD 001-03-95 refers

 

Compliance: Unless already accomplished in the preceding twelve months, within 50 hours time in service after 25 April 1995; thereafter at intervals not exceeding twelve months, or 150 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.

 

Background: Cases have been reported of failure of the Flap operating cable which in one case led to a flap asymmetry situation during the final phase of landing.
